Matt has been a Professional Dog trainer since 2001.  He has competed extensively in Flyball with his dogs from 1999 to 2004 and has earned multiple titles in Flyball including FD, FDX, FDCH, FM.  Matt has also fostered and trained over 60 rescue dogs throughout his professional career and has volunteered and helped rehabilitate hundreds of rescue dogs with behavioral problems.  “There are many great things about being a trainer,” he says. “The wide variety of dogs and the relationships you build are just the start. It is fantastic when you work with a fearful dog and watch her start to build confidence and happiness, then watch the relief that the dog’s owner feels as they see their four legged companion leave their worry and anxiety behind. Nothing can compare to the feeling of knowing you helped that process. This happens for me almost every day.  “I love to train all dogs and teach their people how to deal with behavioral issues. Every dog I work with teaches me something new. I can’t imagine doing anything else for a career. It is great to wake up every day and love your job.”  “Matt is the best. Sophie and Bella love going to Kennelwood.”  “Matt and Nicki have helped us train Molly and she has developed into the most wonderful dog.”
